Customer Service Coordinator

Working on a permanent daytime contract, you will be responsible for overseeing live orders and communicating with customers in a busy network. You will liaise between internal warehouse and transport teams and update customers on the status of their deliveries, managing any live issues. Who is our client? Our client is a leading 3PL. They work across chilled, deep chill, ambient and frozen, picking around 3.3 million cases per week and delivering around 130,000 pallets of food & drink products into UK grocery retailers each week.

Job Duties for the Customer Service Coordinator:

  • Communicating with customers via systems, e-mail and telephone
  • Tracking deliveries within the relevant Transport systems
  • Ensuring customer queries are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner
  • Reporting any late arrivals to customers
  • Logging calls on the in house system
  • Communicating with drivers over the phone to find out ETA
  • Liaising with retailers to obtain POD (Proof of Delivery)
  • Updating systems and investigating delivery queries
  • Ensuring a high level of Customer Service is provided at all times

Requirements for Customer Service Coordinator:

  • Strong PC skills are necessary on Excel, Word and Outlook- training will be provided on key systems such Microlise, ESP, GTS, PDM, Red Prairie, One View, Qlikview
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills when dealing with customers
  • Previous experience working within either transport or warehouse office or customer service experience
  • Ability to remain calm and methodical when working to strict targets
  • Willingness to work 8am to 4pm, 4 on 4 off day shift
